​Healing your gut starts from within. Eating a clean diet that promotes a healthy gut microbiome can make

Probiotics:

Probiotics and fermented foods full of live cultures  are vital in repairing the gut lining. Probiotics are live microorganisms or good bacteria  that reside in the gut. Probiotics are crucial in supporting the immune system, aiding digestion, and assisting with nutrient absorption into the bloodstream. â€‹

Foods full of Probiotics include: 

-Yoghurt,

-Kefir

-Sauerkraut

-Kimchi

-Kombucha

-ACV

-Miso

-Certain kinds of Cheese

Prebiotics:

Prebiotics can be thought of the catalysts that foster growth or activity for probiotics to flourish. They help to promote balance in the gut microbiome. Fresh fruits and vegetables especially citrus and leafy greens are great natural forms of prebiotics.

Foods rich in Prebiotics:

- Garlic

-Onions

-Asparagus

-Artichoke

-Banana

-Apple

-Flaxseeds

Water and Plenty of Fluids: 

Drinking plenty of water and other fluids such as herbal teas help to repair the gut. Water helps to flush out existing toxins while hydrating the gut lining. Additionally drinking green juices full of phytonutrients are alkalising, helping the body cleanse and heal. 

Bone broths are another form of nourishment that that aid digestion and are rich in collagen, protein and amino acids.

Collagen:

The amino acids found in collagen have been proven to help rebuild the tissue that lines the colon and GI tract. Taking collagen supplements can help to treat gastrointestinal symptoms and disorders including IBS, leaky gut syndrome, acid reflux, Crohn's disease, and ulcerative colitis.  


Cut out Anti-Inflammatory Foods:

Avoid eating meals that disrupt the gut lining and flora such as highly processed foods, sugars, alcohol, and gluten, to help reduce inflammation in the body. Foods that are highly processed contain very little nutrients and are full of added fillers, preservatives, and artificial sweeteners that can exacerbate issues in the GI tract.
